A little more guidance
Read aloud. One person begins; respond to what they say, or share your own answer. For a round, invite each person once. Anyone may pass. Move on when you are ready. The device can stay on the table. Reading does not make you the first answerer.
FIVE CHAPTERS. MANY WAYS IN.

HOW TO PLAY
Anyone reads.
An evening takes shape.
Open the seven-card conversation or choose a chapter. Use a memory, a preference or an imagined December evening. When a card supplies a fictional scene, use that scene. Nobody needs to be hosting a real gathering.
- 01
Anyone reads
Read the card and its guidance aloud. Reading does not make you the first answerer. An ordinary or invented example is enough. Keep private details to yourself and pass whenever you prefer.
- 02
Take turns beginning
For two: one begins and the other responds or gives an answer; swap who starts next time. In a group: a volunteer begins. Round cards invite each person once; a sentence or a pass is enough.
- 03
Follow an interesting detail
Ask a question, offer a different example or let a small answer be enough. A task names its finish; a build invites an idea from each person. Tap Next when you are ready. Pause, change chapters or finish whenever you like.
Decide, then compare
Read both options. Each decide silently first; say your choices together on three. Talk about what drew you to them. No votes are submitted on the phones.
A dress code, a service, a title
Invent a dress code, describe an absurd party service or title the evening. The card names the finish. Normal speech is enough; no acting, writing or props are required.
Add an idea each
Combine two objects into an imaginary doorway or two changes to a festive corner. For the literal guest and metaphor-loving guest, offer one line each and read normally. Each card tells you what to combine; different versions are welcome.
An invitation can stay an idea
A host can simplify, reschedule or imagine something smaller. No guest list or real plan follows. You can imagine the company without ranking people you know. Pass or change chapters whenever you prefer.
Big enough to read. Small enough to bring.
What kind of December invitation makes you say yes immediately?
Read aloud. One begins; others respond.Questions, choices and shared ideas happen aloud. Keep one device on the table, or use a Shared Room where the host changes cards. Everyone may pass. Separate phones are optional.
SHARED ROOM / ONE PURCHASE FOR THE GROUP

Prefer your own screens? See the same card on each phone. For paid games, one person owns the game and everyone else joins free. Fire is free to host.

Follow the same card.
The host changes cards. Anyone reads aloud. For two, swap who begins; in a group, a volunteer starts and Round invites everyone once. On a choice, decide silently and reveal together on three. For inventions, follow the card’s finish. Answers happen aloud; no private taps.
Each new room has a fresh code and lasts up to eight hours. The host can end it earlier. Your purchased game stays in your Library. Everyone needs internet; Shared Room does not include a video call or record spoken answers.
